Delete Your Cobalt Account & Data
This page lets you ask us to delete your Cobalt account (the account you use in the Cobalt mobile app and at gateway.cxbolt.com) and the personal data associated with it. The service is operated by Cobalt Payments Inc.
Submitting the form below starts the process — it does not delete anything automatically. We log your request and a member of our Privacy team reviews it, verifies your identity, and then deletes the eligible data by hand. You can also request deletion by email at any time: privacy@cxbolt.com.
What gets deleted
When we complete an account-deletion request, we delete or de-identify the personal data we hold about you as the account holder, including:
- Your profile and login identity (name, email, phone, and device sign-in tokens);
- Account and app settings and preferences;
- Stored tokenized card-on-file credentials associated with your account; and
- Support correspondence tied to your account, where no longer required.
What we must keep
Some records cannot be deleted immediately. Where required by law, by card-network rules, by a legal hold, or for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and tax or regulatory obligations, we retain certain records for the periods described in Privacy Policy, Section 12 (Data Retention). Transaction and settlement records, in particular, are retained to meet payments-industry and legal requirements even after an account is closed.
If your data was submitted by a merchant (for example, you are a customer of a business that uses Cobalt), that merchant is the controller of those records. We will refer your request to the merchant and assist them in responding.
How long it takes
We acknowledge requests promptly and complete verified requests within the period your local privacy law requires — generally within 45 days, with one extension where permitted. We may contact you at the email address you provide to confirm your identity before we act.
